According to Abu Huraira, the Prophet Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam assigned me to monitor the Ramadan Zakat earnings. Then someone approached me and began stealing the food. “I will take you to Allah’s Apostle!” I shouted when I caught him. Then Abu Huraira related the entire account, saying, “Please don’t take me to Allah’s Apostle, and I’ll give you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.” Recite Ayat al Kursi before going to bed, and Allah will send a guard to defend you all night long, and Satan will not be able to approach you until dawn.

Benefits of reciting Ayat al Kursi after prayer:-

Concerning the virtue of reciting this ayah after the prescribed prayers , it was narrated that Abu Umamah said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever recites Ayat al Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.” This is how it was narrated by al-Nasai in al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah, from al-Hasan ibn Bishr.

The recitation of Ayat al Kursi will keep the person protected from Shaitaan (devil).

The person who recites Ayat al Kursi in the morning will be in the protection until the night and who recites in the night will be protected till the morning.

Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing but death will prevent him from entering Paradise (An-Nasa’i reported it, and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih).
