There are many verses and hadiths that describe the benefits and merits of surat Alkahf. The first and last 10 verses describe the following.

1-Probhet (PBUH) asks us to read it.

We should consider the reading of surah alkahf every Friday is sunna about prophet mohammed, because he is our example in morals and work, also we follow the path of his companions and Caliphs. Since the prophet is our first savior as mentioned in the first 6 verses of surat Alkahf.

We should follow his advice.

2-Higher Ranks in Jannah for Hafiz:-

The reading of surah al kahf leads us to the highest levels of paradise.

3- Learning great teaching of Islam:-

Allah collected the three fundamentals of Islam in the first ten verses to tell us about the reward in the second and third verses to make us walk for the better.

4-Increasing your Iman “Faith”:-

Surah alkahf contains many stories that teach us many lessons to apply in our daily life.

5-Protection from Trial (Fitnah of DaJJal):-

The prophet(PBUH) gives us the key to be protected from Dajjal, he ordered us to hasten to memorize the first 10 verses of surah alkahf.

The prophet (PBUH) said:(If anyone learns by heart the first 10 verses of the surah alkahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal).

6-Peace and tranquility to its reciter:-

A man recited surah alkahf (in his prayer) and in the house, there was a (riding) animal that got frightened and started jumping.

The man finished his prayer with Taslim but a gloved hovered over him. he informed the prophet (PBUH) of that and the prophet said:-

“ Recite, for the (gloved) was a sign of peace descending for the recitation of the Quran”

Recitation of surah alkahf has great importance also a great source of peace and blessings.

7-Guidance to the believer:-

Whoever reads surah alkahf every Friday, Allah will make a light that shines from him starting with one Friday until the next Friday.

8-Light in face & heart:-

Whoever recites surah alkahf on Friday on the day of Judgement will be light for him in the heavens and the earth.

9-Attaining peace & tranquility:-

Abu Hurairah  narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Whenever a group of people assembles in one of the Houses of Allah (i.e. Mosques), reciting the Book of Allah and studying it, tranquility descends upon them, Mercy covers them, angels

surround them and Allah makes a mention of them among those who are with Him.”

10-Accompany of prophets:-

Just imagine Isa asking you what he once asked his disciples (Hawaariyyoon). He says –

Who are my supporters? my companions for the sake of Allah?

Can you imagine replying with “We are supporters of Allah?” SubhanAllah!

But this requires living in the era of Dajjal. So memorize the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf and be a believer in the tough time of Fitnah of Dajjal.
