Belief in The Oneness of Allah

La ilaha illa Allah

The meaning of ‘La ilaha illa Allah’T

his phrase, called the shahadaشَهَادَة (šahāda), or shahadatayn, شَهَادَتَيْنِ (šahādatayni), or Muslim creed, is the declaration of belief in the oneness of God and in Muhammad as His messenger. Recitation of the shahada is considered one of the five pillars of Islam by Sunni Muslims. By sincerely stating the shahada aloud before two witnesses, one is considered to have converted to Islam.

  • In addition to excluding the other messengers of God, the second part of the shahada is viewed by Quranists as unnecessary shirk, and they may instead substitute the following: وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ   (waḥdahu lā šarīka lahu).

لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ

lā ʾilāha ʾillā -llāhu

“There is no deity but God.”

مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ

muḥammadur rasūlu -llāh

“I bear witness that there is no deity but God, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of God.”

The two testimonies are the head of Islam:

The two testimonies are originally from the origin of the utterance of this word, the basic word that he wrote with his tongue, he is judged to be a Muslim, and if he did not bring the testimony; He was an infidel, and no act of worship was valid from him, and he would not benefit from it in the Hereafter

  • On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: “I said: O Messenger of God: Ibn Jadaan was in the pre-Islamic period upholding the ties of kinship and feeding the poor, so is that beneficial to him? He said: “It will not benefit him, because he never said, ‘Lord, forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment.’
  • And Allha said 🙁 And yet, it has already been revealed to thee [O man,] as well as to those who lived before thee, that if thou ever ascribe divine powers to aught but God, all thy works shall most certainly have been in vain: for [in the life to come] thou shalt most certainly be among the lost.)”

requirements of testimonies:

The two testimonies are not accepted from the one who came with them if he achieves:

  1. Knowledge of its meaning is negation and affirmation. And the opposite of knowledge is ignorance, that is, knowing that the meaning of there is no god but God requires innocence from everything that is worshiped besides God, and the sincerity of worship to God alone with the tongue, the heart, and the limbs.

It was stated in the Book and the Sunnah:

Allah said 🙁 Know, therefore, that there is no god but Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and for the men and women who believe: for Allah knows how ye move about and how ye dwell in your homes.)

And the prophet said :(Whoever dies knowing that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise).

  1. The heart is certain of it, that is, it is not suspicious of it:

Allah said: (Only those are Believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger, and have never since doubted, but have striven with their belongings and their persons in the Cause of Allah: Such are the sincere ones).

  1. Sincerity in it, and against it polytheism, hypocrisy, and reputation.

Allah said: (Verily, We have sent down the Book to you (O Muhammad SAW) in truth: So worship Allah (Alone) by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah’s sake only)
